Sausage Muffins
Ingredients
* 1/2 pound bulk pork sausage, cooked and well drained
* 2 cups all purpose flour
* 1 Tablespoon baking powder
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 2 Tablespoons sugar
* 1 large egg, slightly beaten
* 1/4 cup melted margarine
* 1 c. milk
* ½ c. shredded cheddar cheese
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a medium bowl and set aside.
Combine egg, melted margarine and milk in a small bowl. Stir egg mixture into flour mixture stirring until ingredients are moist.
Stir in cooked sausage and cheese.
Fill greased muffin tins 3/4 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Makes 20 muffins.
Cook's Note: If you want to make the muffins ahead of time they can be stored after baking in the refrigerator or freezer. Simply warm the desired number of muffins in a microwave or standard oven before serving.
